Koru Land

This precast pebble mosaic of 2.5 m in diameter was done for the Manukau City Council in Auckland.Koru Land will be installed at a new Arts Centre in Mangere.At the Manukau City Council they wanted me to create a Polynesian flower with four large petals and incoprorating waves(Korus) into it which bring reminscences of the Manukau Harbour.Pebble used are black and red/brown polished pebbles from China for the border.Other pebble used are white Moondance pebbles from Indonesia.and grey/green and erathy/yellow Autumn Harvest pebbles from New Zealand.
