Tree of Life

This mosaic which is 4,2m in diameter and consisting out of 27 pieces altogether was installed at a children's playground in Wainoni Park,Greenhithe on North Shore in Auckland.

At the North Shore City Council they wanted me to design something based on orchard/farm theme and incorporating a weather vane into it.I've designed a huge apple tree.

Pebbles used are: grey and earthy yellow "Autumn Harvest" pebbles from New Zealand, white "Moondance" and turquoise "Polar Mist" pebbles from Indonesia, black/dark grey pebbles (around the roots) from Indonesia, black and brown/red polished pebbles from China.
